Ms. Dyann Humpherys
Hello Raider Family!
This year starts my 18th year in education and my 6rd year as a School Counselor. I am so happy to open Hampton Intermediate and be the first school counselor here!
I grew up in Wylie and enjoy working and supporting the community that shaped me. I have an amazing black lab, Rooster and I enjoy reading, working out, hiking, and traveling. I also love spending time with friends and family.
I am passionate about helping children grow socially and emotionally. I want all children to have the tools to succeed both in and out of the classroom. I believe the job of a counselor is to partner with parents and teachers to meet the needs of all students. This may look like small groups with students, meeting with students individually, or classroom lessons. I will visit classrooms throughout the school year to teach lessons that focus on mindfulness (breathing techniques), empathy, kindness, respect, grit, and friendship skills.
I am also the 504 coordinator, and MENTOR program liaison for our campus. I am here to answer questions or discuss your concerns regarding your child’s development or well-being at school, so please contact me anytime should the need arise.

Counseling Mission Statement
The Wylie ISD guidance and counseling department, in partnership with parents, staff, and community, will provide developmental services to all students through guidance curriculum, responsive services, individual planning and system support, which will prepare them to lead successful and productive lives.
In accordance with Texas Education Code §33.005, parents and guardians may preview the Wylie ISD Comprehensive School Counseling Program and any counselor-developed classroom lesson materials used on campus during regular school hours. The district counseling curriculum is available on the Wylie ISD Counseling website. Independent classroom lessons are provided at the discretion of the campus school counselor, and any materials not available digitally are available for parent preview upon request.
